"Sharing
information and resources with other musicians
is invaluable.
Other musicians are your greatest allies."
Your
local source for news, resources, and
discussions... whether you're looking for
information on recording studios and independent
media, the cost of manufacturing CDs, booking
shows and tours, street team tips and
promotions, or just networking with other bands
and artists. You'll also find links to band
websites and MySpace Music pages, as well as
media outlets and artist showcase sites. If you
can't find what you're looking for, just start a
new topic and ask for it!
We
are not a label in the traditional sense. We are
a collective of artists, musicians, and fans
working together to achieve common goals. We
place a high emphasis on community-based
efforts. We are 100% independent.
We
are a small, artist-run record
label/collective. Our goal is to develop a music
forum for independent bands, artists, fans, and
promoters. We believe in sharing resources for
unsigned bands and artists. Our objectives are
to promote local and regional artists, to enable
artists to produce, release, and distribute
their own CDs, and to research and develop new
media opportunities. We
place an historic value on the work of local
independent artists; one of our basic purposes
has always been to help document the music
around us and provide an outlet for such
music. We hope to provide resources that enable
artists to keep their CDs available and in
print. We also hope that our community efforts
will build an awareness of this music with new
fans and create a self-sufficient scene.
If you are an independent
artist or unsigned band from the MD/VA/WV
Tri-State area and would like to get connected,
join the
Forum!
This is also open to artists from anywhere else
in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA, the greater
Baltimore/Washington, DC/Metro area, etc.) Many
of the resources contained herein are available
nationally, so you can benefit even if you are
located in other states or regions. If you are
an artist, promoter, or manager, this is the
place to find resources for research and
development. If you are a music journalist,
advertiser, or radio programmer, this is the
place to find new music and contact artists!
